Most people agree in principle. It’s better not to do harm. What they lack are the details of where, for what reasons and most of all, how can people from large and small NGOs, implementing organizations, the community, migrant organizations and faith-based international organizations with and without project experience, work equitably, sustainably and effectively with highly marginalized and sometimes criminalized LGBTIA people, and the organizations which these people run?

Erfahrungen aus 8 Jahren internationaler Projektbegleitung
Einleitung
Im April 2022 ist das Masakhane-Projekt nach 8 Jahren zu Ende gegangen. Es ist bisher das größte vom BMZ geförderte Vorhaben mit Fokus auf Menschenrechte von Lesben, Bisexuelle, Trans und Queers im Globalen Süden (Infos im Factsheet 4 „Masakhane“ der Hirschfeld-Eddy-Stiftung).
Die Autorin und Aktivistin Melibea Obono aus Äquatorialguinea zu Gast in Köln
Aktuell gilt sie als angesagteste Autorin des Landes: Melibea Obono. Im Jahr 2016 hat sie die Organisation „Somos Parte del Mundo“ (Wir sind Teil der Welt) mitgegründet, die über die Situation von LSBTIQ+ in dem Land am Golf von Guinea aufklärt.

Zwei Jahrhunderte lang war Äquatorialguinea, das kleine Land zwischen Kamerun und Gabun am Golf von Guinea, eine spanische Kolonie. 1968 entließ General Franco das Land in die Unabhängigkeit. Äquatorialguinea ist keineswegs arm, denn seit Anfang der 1990er Jahre ist es ein wichtiger Erdöl-Produzent. Dennoch stand das Land 2019 an 145. Stelle im Human Development Index der Vereinten Nationen.
